The old way
NEMT runs on standing orders, and standing orders run on memory.
Most small NEMT fleets keep repeat rides, mobility needs, and trip proof in three different places. None of them talk to each other.
Standing orders on a whiteboard
A dialysis rider goes three times a week, every week. Someone rewrites those runs by hand, and one missed line is a missed treatment.
Mobility needs passed on by memory
Wheelchair type, oxygen, help to the door. If it only lives in a phone call, the wrong vehicle shows up.
Trip logs on paper
Signed sheets ride around in the glovebox until someone asks for them. Then one week is missing.
Bookings by voicemail
Families and discharge planners call, leave a message, and wait for a callback before they know the ride is booked.
How NEMT works in Beridy
From a dialysis schedule to a signed trip record.
Set the rider up once. Beridy books the runs and your driver records each one.
- 1
Set up the standing order once
Create a recurring plan with the weekdays, pickup time, addresses, rate, and driver. Beridy books each ride ahead of the day and emails the rider a confirmation.
- 2
Capture mobility needs at booking
The medical booking form asks for wheelchair type (manual, electric, or bariatric), oxygen on board, and door-through-door help. It all sits on the ride your dispatcher opens.
- 3
Quote first when you need to
Switch your booking page to request-a-quote. Requests land in your Leads list, you send a price by email or WhatsApp, and the customer approves it from a link.
- 4
Dispatch to the driver's phone
Assign a driver from the Rides view. The ride shows up in their driver app, which they open in a phone browser with a 4-digit PIN.
- 5
Prove the ride happened
The driver app records GPS position and time when the rider boards and at drop-off, then collects a signature. If the rider can't sign, the driver writes down why.
Trip records
Every completed ride keeps its own proof.
Open any ride in your dashboard to see what happened and when. It's self-verified by Beridy, not a certified state EVV aggregator submission.
GPS-checked pickup and drop-off
Each leg is marked verified when the driver's phone is within about 300 meters of the booked address.
Boarding and drop-off times
Captured from the driver's phone at the moment they tap through the trip, not typed in later.
Signature, or the reason there isn't one
The rider signs on the driver's screen. If they can't, the driver's note is saved instead.
How the ride was paid
Mark a ride as insurance, cash, or card, or bill it to a facility on Net 15 or Net 30 terms with a due date.

NEMT FAQ
Questions NEMT operators ask.
Does Beridy bill Medicaid or submit claims?
No. Beridy doesn't submit claims and doesn't connect to Medicaid or broker portals. You can mark a ride as insurance-paid or billed to a facility and keep its trip record, but the billing itself happens outside Beridy.
Is the GPS and signature record an official EVV system?
No. It's GPS and timestamp proof of the ride, self-verified by Beridy. It is not a certified state EVV aggregator submission. Operators use it as their own audit trail. Check what your state, payer, or broker requires.
Can I schedule recurring dialysis rides?
Yes. Create a recurring plan with the weekdays, time, pickup, drop-off, rate, and driver. Beridy books each ride automatically and emails the rider a confirmation. Pause the plan when the rider is in hospital and turn it back on when they're home.
Can the same driver take a rider every time?
Yes. The driver on the recurring plan is assigned to every ride it books. You can still swap the driver on a single ride from the Rides view.
Where do I record wheelchair, oxygen, or door-through-door needs?
The medical booking form asks for them. When you add a ride yourself from the dashboard, for a booking that came in by phone, the same fields are there.
Can families or discharge planners book for a patient?
Yes. Share your booking link or put the form on your own website. Anyone can book or request a quote, and the confirmation goes to the email on the booking.
Which vehicle types can I set up?
Ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher, or any name you use. Each has its own price: a flat rate, a base plus a per-mile or per-km rate with a minimum fare, or fixed prices between zones you define.
What does it cost?
$0 a month and $0.50 per completed ride. No per-driver fees and no contract. A month with no completed rides costs nothing.
